Research

My research uses mixed method approaches, including geospatial technologies, to analyse and interpret early source material.  My current focus is on assessing map and map-maker connections in the early cartography of Ireland and Britain. I also have interests in the geographies of historic health and disease.

I am the co-PI on the IRC/AHRC funded project OS200: Digitally Re-Mapping Ireland’s Ordnance Survey Heritage. You can learn more about the project by following us on Twitter @IrelandMapped.

I am keen to hear from anyone interested in collaborating on projects related to the historical geography of the early modern, and the digital and spatial humanities

More to follow.
